Job summary

Jobtailor in Ohio is seeking an on-site warehouse associate to support receiving, storage, and shipping activities. You will operate forklifts and order pickers, maintain accurate records, and follow SOPs to ensure safe, efficient production flow.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in warehouse or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.
  • Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
  • Basic math and computer literacy, including ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; safety-focused.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in full compliance with all company safety guidelines to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts and assigned equipment.
  • Execute SOPs for receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments accurately.
  • Transport materials between trucks, warehouse storage areas, and production locations.
  • Optimize warehouse space through proper pallet organization and consolidation.
  • Use and update the ERP system to maintain accurate records in accordance with SOPs.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through proper handling, tracking, and documentation.
  • Follow pull lists to support production and kitting activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Operate reach trucks and/or order pickers to retrieve materials from racking systems.
  • Operate industrial forklifts to move materials and assist with loading activities.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and support inventory reconciliation.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Proven ability to safely operate all the following: forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Basic math skills to support counting and reconciliation tasks
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems, including ERP systems
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Effective verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and safety-focused
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in an environment with moving equipment and moderate to high noise levels
