Adecco is seeking a dependable Material Handler for the 2nd shift in East Providence, RI. You will move materials to inventory locations, supply production with components, and maintain organized stock. Forklift operation and accurate record-keeping are essential.

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support manufacturing and warehouse operations in East Providence, RI. This position is responsible for moving materials to the correct inventory locations, supplying production departments with needed components, and maintaining accurate and organized inventory.
The ideal candidate has previous material handling or warehouse experience and is comfortable operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Retrieve components and materials needed by production departments
Deliver materials to designated production areas
Return unused components to their proper warehouse locations
Move and organize inventory throughout the facility
Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies to the supervisor
Transport materials to Quality Assurance when quality issues arise
Return approved materials back to inventory
Keep warehouse inventory organized and in designated locations
Operate forklifts and other lift equipment safely
Perform cycle counts and inventory recounts as requested
Assist the Distribution Center as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow applicable procedures and safety requirements
Work overtime as needed
Perform additional material handling duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ year of material handling experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
Forklift experience preferred
Experience with Raymond, Counterbalance, and/or Turret Lift equipment preferred
SAP experience preferred
Basic computer skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Basic math skills and ability to accurately count inventory
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Ability to move throughout a warehouse and manufacturing facility
Frequent bending and stooping
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment

$21.75 per hour
