Central Plains Steel in Wichita, KS, is seeking a hardworking warehouse associate for 1st shift. You will review work orders, move materials with forklifts or cranes, and perform quality checks while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy loads, and familiarity with basic measurements and arithmetic. Temperature tolerance and teamwork are essential for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must meet Level 4 Heavy Work capacity.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Adequate manual dexterity and coordination
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage time
• Ability to lift up to 100 lb and push/pull 80 lb
• High school diploma preferred
• Certification to operate material handling equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and tooling instructions.
• Coordinate material handling and move materials using forklift or crane.
• Perform quality control inspections.
• Maintain clean, safe work area.
• Operate yard truck, forklift, and overhead crane.
