Job summary

Specialty Building Products in Kansas City, MO is seeking a 1st shift Material Handler to join our Operations team. You will unload shipments, stock locations, and assist with picking orders using a forklift, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving per our WMS procedures.

The role requires 1–2 years of warehouse experience, a High School Diploma, and a safety-minded approach. The position offers $22.00/hour plus benefits and opportunities for growth within SBP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years warehouse experience required.
• Neat appearance and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and railroad cars and replenish warehouse locations.
• Pick orders using a forklift until filled.
• Report shortages, damaged material, or issues to sales or supervisor.
• Use handheld scanner and WMS processes for receiving, picking, loading, and cycle counting.
• Band, wrap and prepare material for shipping; ensure safe weight distribution.
