Summary

The Material Handler – Assembly position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks; warehousing product and materials; and supplying production lines with requested product and/or components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inspect forklift daily at the start of the shift ensuring all safety features are operational.
2. Complete checklist documenting inspection.
3. Safely operate forklift, moving materials throughout the facility, ensuring all materials are handled to prevent damage.
4. Load and unload trucks; warehouse products and materials.
5. Inspect trailers for safety at beginning of loading and unloading.
6. Use RF scanner for receipts, issues to lines, returns, and barcode locations.
7. Verify counts, quantities, and descriptions of products and materials received, shipped, or warehoused.
8. Service production lines, delivering product and/or components as requested.
9. Complete paperwork accurately related to the movement of products and materials.
10. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and loading docks.
11. Perform inventory and cycle counts regularly.
12. Safely change forklift propane tanks and/or batteries as needed.
13. Assist other departments as needed.
14. Ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
15. Work safely and efficiently per company policies and procedures.
16. Overtime may be required.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
