Job description

Sr. Materials Handler II - Clinical Label and Pack
  • Full-time
  • Region: US
  • Department: Manufacturing
  • The schedule for this position is M-F days/1st shift - subject to change to a 2-2-3 days rotation in the future, dependent on department needs.

    As a Warehouse Sr. Materials Handler at our Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility, you will be essential to our Labeling and Packaging operations for bottles, vials, blisters, and syringes, playing a key role in delivering life-changing therapies to patients. This position offers a unique chance to engage in both the startup and ongoing operations phases, providing a well-rounded experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing. You will have the opportunity to develop and refine your skills, gaining hands-on experience during our dynamic startup phase generating processes and procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    What You’ll Do

    • Receives GMP material using the Warehouse management system (WMS) following applicable procedures.
    • Processes Move Orders for MFG and Labs using the WMS.
    • Performs cycle counts following applicable procedures.
    • Maintains all Materials Management applicable training and required GXP trainings are 100% complete.
    • Operates Powered Industrial Trucks safely.
    • Applies company policies and procedures, follows cGMP guidelines, and communicates effectively with team members and supervision.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Completed High School Diploma or Equivalent, plus a minimum of 3 years of warehouse/materials management experience in a GMP environment.
    • Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks: forklifts, order selectors, electric pallet jacks.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey process information, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
    • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with Oracle – Warehouse Management System (WMS).

    Physical Mobility Requirements:

    • The incumbent could stand for four hours, walk for three hours, sit for three hours, kneel or bend for one hour, perform upper body twisting motions for half an hour, and climb steps for half an hour during normal duties.
    • Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance for up to 100 feet, and occasionally push/pull more than 100 pounds.
    • Required to have sufficient dexterity to operate telephones, computers, hand tools, forklifts, and order selectors, and manipulate small objects.
    • Must wear personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, and hearing protection.

    The base salary range for this position is $20.67 - $26.92 per hour. Compensation is determined based on skills, experience, location, and internal equity.

    Regular employees are eligible for short-term and long-term incentives, including bonuses and equity awards, based on individual and company performance.
