Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Houston, TX is hiring for a full-time warehousing role. The base pay is $18.00 per hour with day shifts from 6:00AM to 2:30PM; hours vary with operations.

You will operate forklifts, load/unload, inspect materials, and support production lines while following safety and SOP guidelines. Required are a HS diploma or GED and 1-3 years in a similar role; lifting up to 75 lbs, proficiency with pallets/jacks, and good communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (HSE preferred).
• 1-3 years' experience in warehouse or manufacturing.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50-75 lbs periodically.
• Proficiency with electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ability to work in varying environments (including cold).
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and shift priorities quickly.
• Comfortable with standing/walking for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
• Weigh, measure, and inspect raw materials according to work orders
• Load, unload, and move crates, boxes, and materials within the plant, yard, or work site
• Sort, check, and distribute kits and components to production lines with accuracy
• Load/unload trailers between the main site and off-site distribution center
• Verify and sign for inbound freight from suppliers; clean and label materials
• Use hand tools to open containers and assist operators/inspectors
• Operate elevators and other equipment to assist product movement
• Follow SOPs, GMPs, OSHA, and safety/security/environment guidelines
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate is $18.00 per hour

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
