Job summary

Atkore International seeks a Material Handler based in Eugene, OR. The role centers on packaging finished pipe, performing routine quality checks, and supporting production with material handling tasks.

Responsibilities include weighing and transporting goods, verifying dimensions, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You’ll operate forklifts and related equipment, follow safety rules, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.

• Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment and handle multiple demands calmly.

Responsibilities

• Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities and ensure quality checks.
• Verify product against schedule and monitor production steps.
• Weigh and transport finished product; cut crate boards to proper lengths.
• Process regrind and maintain cleanliness in production and storage areas.
• Operate and be proficient with material handling devices (forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, nail guns).
• Follow plant safety rules and wear PPE; prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Material Handler $18.75/hr. - $18.75/hr (Day & Night shifts open)

Sun-Tue and every other Saturday 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am

Wed-Fri and every other Saturday 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Material Handler to be based out of Eugene location Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Material Handler’s primary focus will be to package finished pipe in proper crate quantities. Make sure Quality checks are being done on a regular basis and making sure customers get a quality product.

What you’ll do:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $18.75/hr. + $1.00 an hour Shift Differential . Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
