Job summary

Atkore in Eugene, OR is seeking a Material Handler to package finished pipe, perform quality checks, and support production on day or night shifts. Reports to the Shift Lead and ensures product quality for customers.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally, operating forklifts and other handling devices, and following safety rules with PPE. The position is on-site with shift options and competitive pay including a $1 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
• High attention to detail, time management, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Package finished pipe in crates and verify quantities.
• Perform quality checks on pipe and monitor saw cuts, bell fit, and line spacing.
• Weigh and transport finished product; cut crate boards to proper lengths.
• Operate material handling tools (forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, nail guns).
• Maintain production and storage areas; follow plant safety rules and wear PPE.

Sun-Tue and every other Saturday 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am

Wed-Fri and every other Saturday 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Material Handler to be based out of Eugene location Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Material Handler’s primary focus will be to package finished pipe in proper crate quantities. Make sure Quality checks are being done on a regular basis and making sure customers get a quality product.

What you’ll do:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $18.75/hr. + $1.00 an hour Shift Differential . Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
