Job summary

Danone North America is hiring a Material Handler in Minster, Ohio. The role involves a 3-2-2 schedule with nights, operating a stand-up forklift, and using a warehouse management system. You will unload/load trucks and work to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Material Handler based in Minster, Ohio!

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Working a 3-2-2 Schedule, which includes weekends and some holidays
• Shift is 5:53pm - 6:00am for Nights (5:53am - 6pm for Days)
• Passing forklift certification and driving a stand-up forklift in either raw material Warehouse or Distribution Cooler
• Working Safely with a high attention to detail and quality
• Computer work including picking product using a warehouse management system and RF scanner
• Unload and load trucks
• Working as a team to achieve challenging production goals
• Working in a fast-paced environment
• Working in a standing position, most of a 12-hr shift
• Wearing a free uniform that includes safety shoes, bump cap, safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet and beard net

The Material Handler base rate is now 25.35/hr! and night shift employees receive an additional $1.00/hr shift premium. About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School diploma or GED (required)
• Open schedule ability. This means you are able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when scheduled.

• The ability to perform physical demands of:
  • A fast-paced environment
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Continuous walking or standing
  • Repetitive minimal to moderate lifting (50 lbs)
  • Working in a cold environment (in distribution cooler)
  • Working at heights (in warehouse)
• Openness to learn and share with others
• Doer who takes ownership of our product excellence and their working area
• Empowered individual who proactively pursues improvements in Quality, Safety & Operations
• Previous forklift and warehousing experience are highly desirable
