Job summary

Danone U.S. is seeking a Material Handler for our Minster, Ohio production facility. You will operate on a 3-2-2 schedule (nights 5:53pm–6:00am) and perform forklift-driven material movement in raw material warehouse or distribution cooler, with RF scanning and WMS tasks.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to work overtime and weekends, and maintain safety and quality in a fast-paced 12-hour shift environment. Competitive benefits and tuition support are offered.

Qualifications

• Forklift and warehousing experience are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate on a 3-2-2 schedule including weekends and some holidays.
• Move materials using a stand-up forklift in raw material or distribution areas.
• Pass forklift certification and drive safely with attention to quality.
• Perform computer work including picking via WMS and RF scanner.
• Unload and load trucks and work as part of a production team.
• Maintain a fast-paced, 12-hour shift standing position.
• Wear provided safety gear and maintain a clean, organized area.

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Material Handler based in Minster, Ohio!

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Working a 3-2-2 Schedule, which includes weekends and some holidays
• Shift is 5:53pm - 6:00am for Nights (5:53am - 6pm for Days)
• Passing forklift certification and driving a stand‑up forklift in either raw material Warehouse or Distribution Cooler
• Working Safely with a high attention to detail and quality
• Computer work including picking product using a warehouse management system and RF scanner
• Unload and load trucks
• Working as a team to achieve challenging production goals
• Working in a fast‑paced environment
• Working in a standing position, most of a 12‑hr shift
• Wearing a free uniform that includes safety shoes, bump cap, safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet and beard net

The Material Handler base rate is now 25.35/hr! and night shift employees receive an additional $1.00/hr shift premium. Additionally, Danone's great benefits include

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School diploma or GED (required)
• Open schedule ability. This means you are able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when scheduled.
• Computer Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• High mechanical aptitude
• The ability to perform physical demands of:
  • A fast‑paced environment
  • 12‑hour shifts
  • Continuous walking or standing
  • Repetitive minimal to moderate lifting (50 lbs)
  • Working in a cold environment (in distribution cooler)
  • Working at heights (in warehouse)
• Openness to learn and share with others
• Doer who takes ownership of our product excellence and their working area
• Empowered individual who proactively pursues improvements in Quality, Safety & Operations
• Previous forklift and warehousing experience are highly desirable
