Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. is seeking a Material Handler 1/Kitting for the Covington, GA area. This role handles wrapping kitted pallets, moving them to the bottom rack for pending releases, and transporting released pallets to the GDC receiving aisle.

Shift is 1st, 40 hours per week, with overtime potential. Typical duties include cleaning the kitting area, obtaining labels daily at 11:00, retrieving pallets from lines, coordinating with forklift drivers, and ensuring accurate housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • High school education and/or experience or equivalent preferred.
  • One or more years of warehouse and manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Wrap finished pallets and move them to the bottom rack location for pending release pallets.
  • Daily cleaning of the kitting area including removal of cardboard and trash.
  • Retrieve kitting labels from the GDC front office daily at 11:00.
  • Pull pallets to lines from staging area.

Job Description
  • This position is responsible for the wrapping kitted pallets and moving them to the bottom rack location for pending release pallets and or moving released pallets to the GDC receiving aisle.
  • Daily cleaning of the kitting area including removal of cardboard and trash. Retrieve kitting labels from the GDC front office daily at 11:00. When all areas are caught up the expectation is to work on a kitting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. (Other duties may be assigned).
  • Retrieve finished good pallets from lines, wrap and store in pending lot release area.
  • Empty large trash and cardboard bins.
  • Sweep floors to maintain proper housekeeping requirement.
  • Pull pallets to lines from staging area.
  • Coordinate moving of components with forklift drivers.
  • Attends training sessions as directed.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Accuracy, completeness and attention to detail are essential.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • The employee is often required to stand and reach with hands and arms and lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds.
  • Employee is required to meet with other personnel in other areas of the building.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Employee is required to operate all types of material handling equipment as needed. This position will use a manual pallet jack.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • A person in this job will occasionally be exposed to moderate to occasionally loud noise and will work near moving mechanical parts.
  • This is a manufacturing warehouse environment.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school education and / or experience or equivalent preferred.
  • One or more years of warehouse and manufacturing experience
