Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Material Handler to support our Shipping Department. The role focuses on loading and securing pallets, creating orders, and coordinating with will-call customers and vendors.

A safety-first mindset, reliable teamwork, and physical stamina are essential as this position involves movement of heavy materials and extended standing. Ideal candidates will be able to operate a forklift or obtain certification, meet the minimum age requirement, and comply with PPE

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work overtime with flexible starting times in some departments
• Stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more
• Wear company issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection
• Experience using a forklift or become forklift certified

Responsibilities

• Build orders, load and unload metal bundles, doors, and other products; handle will-call customers and vendor drop offs.
• Push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products by hand or with the forklift.
• Prepare product by lining or padding material to protect items during shipment.
• Inventory materials delivered to the shipping department.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler is focused on loading and securing creates, pallets, and racks with our product and reports to the Shipping Lead.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Responsible for building orders, loading, and unloading of metal bundles, doors, and other products. Handle needs related to will-call customers and vendor drop offs.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products, equipment, or materials by hand or with the forklift.
• Prepare product by putting lining or padding material to protect items during shipment.
• Inventory materials delivered to the shipping department.

Position Pay Range

$19—$21 USD
