Job summary

OBE is seeking a Material Handler to join the Shipping Department and support loading and securing creates, pallets, and racks with our products under the supervision of the Shipping Lead. This role is ideal for a committed, detail-oriented team player who helps build a career with an industry leader.

Responsibilities include building orders, loading/unloading metal bundles, and inventorying materials. Candidates should be 18+, able to lift 75 lbs, and able to stand for long periods while

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Stand and walk on concrete for eight hours or more.
• Wear safety gear (shirt, hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection).
• Experience using a forklift or forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build orders and load/unload metal bundles, doors, and other products.
• Move products using hands or forklift; assist will-call customers and vendor drop-offs.
• Prepare products with lining or padding to protect during shipment.
• Inventory materials delivered to shipping.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler is focused on loading and securing creates, pallets, and racks with our product and reports to the Shipping Lead.

This role is perfect for an individual who is committed, detail oriented, and a team player. A vital member of the Shipping Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Responsible for building orders, loading, and unloading of metal bundles, doors, and other products. Handle needs related to will-call customers and vendor drop offs.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products, equipment, or materials by hand or with the forklift.
• Prepare product by putting lining or padding material to protect items during shipment.
• Inventory materials delivered to the shipping department.

What Are We Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work overtime with flexible starting times in some departments
• Stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more
• Wear company issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection
• Experience using a forklift or become forklift certified

Position Pay Range

$19 - $21 USD
