Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to print and distribute pick tickets, process computer transactions, and move materials to meet production schedules.

You will help organize material flow and communicate with Material Support and management. The role requires good organizational skills, ability to follow instructions, basic math and computer skills, and a willingness to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of relevant experience and/or training preferred.
  • Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prints and distributes pick tickets and performs computer transactions as necessary.
  • Organizes sequence of pulling material and relays information to Material Support.
  • Ensures production schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods.
  • Assists during daily peak times to include operating material handling equipment and perform all necessary computer transactions.
  • Ensures good communication and feedback with management, employees on their shift, and between shifts.
  • When assigned, assists the supervisor/area manager with Continuous Improvement Projects, evaluation of new equipment, determination of training needs and interviewing/hiring.
  • Monitors and enforces shop floor control systems.
  • Follows all safety procedures, wears proper PPE. Proactively identifies and corrects unsafe conditions.
  • Studies systems and procedures for opportunities for improvement. Proposes changes to Materials Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical DemandsandWork Environment
  • Some physicaldemand,often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
  • Ability to performoccasionalto frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
