Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is hiring for a Material Handler to support production by pulling materials, processing transactions, and ensuring on-time schedules.

The role requires coordinating with Material Support and supervision to maintain flow and safety throughout shifts. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience with basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prints and distributes pick tickets and performs computer transactions as necessary.
• Organizes sequence of pulling material and relays information to Material Support.
• Ensures production schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods.
• Assists during daily peak times to include operating material handling equipment and perform all necessary computer transactions.
• Maintains good communication with management and between shifts.
• Supports Continuous Improvement projects and evaluates new equipment.
• Monitors and enforces shop floor control systems.
• Follows safety procedures and wears PPE; identifies unsafe conditions.
• Studies procedures for improvements and proposes changes to Materials Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Follows all safety procedures, wears properPPE. Proactively identifies and corrects unsafe conditions.
• Studies systems and procedures for opportunities for improvement. Proposes changes to Materials Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to performoccasionalto frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
