Job summary

HSM is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, stage, and move materials for multiple production lines. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring timely material flow to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification before operating equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Basic inventory and material-tracking skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, labels, and material identification systems.
  • Basic math skills for counting, verifying quantities, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ability to recognize damaged or nonconforming materials.
  • Knowledge of safe lifting and material-handling practices.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, transport, and stage raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Supply production lines with the materials they need to maintain continuous operation.
  • Remove finished goods from production and transport them to designated storage or shipping areas.
  • Help prevent production shortages and disruptions through timely material movement.
  • Verify quantities, identification, and condition of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions and material records.
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, identified, and traceable.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
