HSM is a privately held company with a long history of innovation, headquartered in Hickory, NC. We manufacture components for multiple industries and design automated production machinery. This role supports warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping processes at our facility.

The successful candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of related experience. Forklift authorization is required or can be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• At least six months of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read shipping documents and product labels, use basic math and computer applications, and keep accurate records.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to adapt as shipping and production needs change.
• Ability to obtain site forklift authorization; prior forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and verify items against purchase orders, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Stage, package, label, and secure materials and finished goods; flag damage or discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate shipping paperwork and coordinate pickups with carriers and plant teams.
• Record receipts, shipments, and material movements in the inventory system.
• Help with cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and move materials safely between the dock, warehouse, and production areas.
• Support packing and other trained tasks when needed.

What you’ll do
