Job summary

Rugby Manufacturing is seeking a night shift Material Handler in Rugby, North Dakota. The starting wage is $20.20 per hour, with a ceiling of $27.10 per hour based on experience.

The role involves loading/unloading trucks, moving materials, and data entry for traceability. As part of North America's leading designer and builder of truck bodies and related equipment, you will support Lean initiatives, rotate tasks, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass forklift program.
• Attention to detail is vital for reading specs, counting, rotating materials, and basic math.
• Teamwork with co-workers and other departments to meet company goals.
• Work safely by following PPE rules, submitting maintenance requests, and reporting hazards.
• Reliable attendance is required to meet customer needs.
• Ability to rotate jobs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks (west side only) and store materials.
• Move raw or finished parts throughout the plant.
• Enter serial numbers and lot/trace numbers as applicable.
• Rotate stock using FIFO principles.
• Flag noticeable quality problems and communicate with the right people.
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives as part of the team.

Rugby Manufacturing is looking for a Material Handler for the night shift. Starting wage is $20.20 and up to $27.10 depending on experience. Rugby is North America's leading designer and manufacturer of Class 3-5 dump truck bodies, landscape bodies, platform bodies, truck and trailer hoists, related truck equipment and accessories.

Job Summary:

• Loading and unloading trucks (west side only), putting materials/parts away
• Moving raw or finished parts or materials throughout the plant
• Completing serial number entry and lot & trace number entry (Paint Downloader only)
• Stock Rotation through FIFO
• Setting aside noticeable quality problems and communicating problems to appropriate personnel
• Assisting with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment and offering suggestions for improvements, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Successfully passing forklift program is required.
• Attention to detail is vital. This includes ability to accurately read job specifications and parts descriptions, count, rotate materials, perform basic math skills, and write legibly working.
• Ability to work with the business operating system to obtain information and locate job assignments.
• Must be a team player working with co-workers, other departments. The focus is on meeting company goals and initiatives.
• Must work in a safe manner following safety procedures, including: wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), completing maintenance requests and communicating hazards to co-workers and management.
• Prompt and reliable attendance is necessary to meet our customer needs.
• Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular heavy physical exertion, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending. Using the overhead hoists requires ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to learn multiple operations within a job area and must be able to regularly rotate jobs to meet job schedule, team needs or to meet any safety recommendations.
• Must work at a reasonable pace and must work overtime as required to meet customer needs.
• Ability to walk, stand and work on concrete for hours at a time.
