Minimum Requirements
- Able to work early hours, with occasional overtime during afternoons and evenings as needed. Must be able to be flexible with work schedule and weekends.
- Interface effectively, ethically and professionally with all levels of staff: internal and external executives/managers, internal and external professionals, owners and their staff, line employees, subcontractors, vendors, etc.
- Communicate effectively in English (aural, verbal, and written).
- HS Diploma or GED or international equivalent strongly preferred (experience may be substituted in lieu of education).
- Possess basic MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Possess fundamental understanding of mechanical and/or plumbing materials.
- Able to take initiative to work independently or with a group of diverse people.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crawl, twist, push, pull, carry, climb (stairs & ladders), etc.
- Able to withstand temperature extremes and exposure to elements (rain, snow, etc).
- Able to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, heights.
- Possess skills related to balance, agility, eye-hand coordination, flexibility, depth perception, peripheral vision, and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to differentiate between colors.
- Able to hear.
- Possess current, valid driver’s license (not under suspension or limitation).
- Possess forklift operator's license (preferred).
- Able to lift five to seventy-five pounds (5-75lbs), with or without assistance, frequently.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Distribute materials within the job sites.
- Check in and stage materials at their locations.
- Stock workstations with proper material & equipment.
- Transport finished projects from workstations to shipping department.
- Package material safely for shipping & delivery.
- Load trucks for delivery with assigned delivery ticket.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work effectively individually and with fellow employees.
- Mentor and encourage other team members.
- Abide by S&D’s Employee Guidelines.
- Follow safe work processes.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Scope of Work
- Deals with multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Works under direct supervision of the Foreman.
- Accountable for completing all assigned tasks accurately and timely.
- May work individually or on teams, as needed.
