Printpack is seeking a Material Handler to ensure safe, efficient movement of materials—raw, WIP, and finished goods—across the plant while keeping accurate inventory records and supporting production operations.
You will operate forklifts, perform safety inspections, load/unload shipments, and maintain storage areas, using handhelds and WMS. A high school diploma is preferred; forklift certification is required or obtainable. This on-site role may include night shifts with a $2.50/hr premium.
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production operations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth facility operations and ensuring materials are available when needed.
The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to: Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds Standing/walking for extended periods (8-12 hour shifts) Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills Work in various temperature conditions Exposure to normal warehouse environment Good Eye and Hand coordination Regular exposure to moving machinery Use of ladders and other equipment Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and pallet jack certification Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)
Travel Requirements: Travel is not required in this position.
The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to: Noise levels above 85 dB Operation of complex machinery Solvents, fumes and inks Variable Temperatures Must be able to work flexible shifts May require nights, weekends, and holidays. An additional $2.50/hr premium for hours worked on NIGHT Shift only (qualifying hours vary by location).
