Job description

The Bag Operator I is responsible for operating and maintaining bag-making machines while ensuring the production of high-quality bags that meet all specifications. This position requires technical expertise in the bag-making process and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment. Bag Operator reports to Shift Supervisor/Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate 1-3 bag-making machines simultaneously with proficiency
  • Monitor and maintain machine safeguards, pressure systems, dwell times, and temperature controls
  • Ensure product quality meets specifications and manufacturing instructions
  • Complete accurate production reports to maintain product traceability
  • Input data into the Production Operating System with precision
  • Perform quality tests and measurements for machine troubleshooting
  • Assist Quality Technicians with box making and taping
  • Coordinate with material handlers for supply management
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Education & Experience

Bag making experience a plus Manufacturing experience preferred

Work Conditions

The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to: Noise levels above 80 dB Operation of equipment and machinery Solvents, fumes and inks Variable Temperatures Must be able to work flexible shifts May require nights, weekends, and holidays. An additional $2.50/hr premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.
