Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a warehouse associate to move materials, load and unload trucks, and pick and pack orders using a forklift, with attention to safety and accuracy. The role requires basic math, reading/writing English, and prior forklift experience.

This position works on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery, with shift options and opportunities to participate in safety and efficiency initiatives. A HS diploma is required, and accommodations are available upon request.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English (French in Quebec).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using forklift.
• Accurately remove, stock, and pack products per inventory plan.
• Load and unload trucks and verify items.
• Select and package orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Complete cycle counts and official paperwork as required.
• Inspect forklift at start of shift and report issues.
• Support health, safety, ISO, and 6S initiatives.

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Shift Times

• 1st shift: 6am-2pm
• 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm
• 3rd shift: 10pm-6am
