Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. seeks a Material Handler in Ohio to support manufacturing operations, handling all types of material and staging for production lines. You will ensure materials are placed correctly and moved efficiently throughout the plant.

Qualified candidates have 2 months of experience, forklift certification (within 90 days), RF familiarity, and strong communication skills to work with production, purchasing, shipping and receiving teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 months related experience, including operating material handling equipment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
• Forklift operation certification required; obtained within 90 days.
• Knowledge of safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Able to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate RF and material handling equipment to stock receipts and unload products.
• Replenish machine centers and stage materials for production.
• Load/unload material from pallets; certify material receipts for inventory.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory; assist with receiving inspections.
• Follow safety policies; maintain 5S practices; propose process improvements.
• Work with production, purchasing, shipping and receiving personnel.

Job Title:Material Handler

Location:Frazeysburg, OH

Schedule:Monday-Thursday 4:15pm-2:45am (Occasional OT on Fridays 2:15pm-10:45pm)

• (2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch

Pay Rate:Starting up to $19.25/hr (*10% Shift Differential=$21.18/hr)

Job Summary:

Candidatemust have experience with material handling and general warehouse practices. Duties will include handling all types of material coming into and going out of the manufacturing plant; ensuring that materials are placed in their proper location; gathering and staging material for production lines; moving finished goods from production toappropriate locationor loading for shipment.Previouswork experience in a fast pacedindustrial environment isrequired. The person selected will be working directly with production,purchasing, shipping, and receiving personnel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

• Uses Radio Frequency (RF) and varietyof material handling equipment to stock receipt of manufactured andpurchasedproducts. Unloads, loads, and stagespurchasedproduct and manufactured product receipts.
• Replenishes machine centers using a variety of material handling equipment and RF.
• Operatesvariety of material handling equipment withappropriate certification. Load and unload material from pallet racking
• Uses Radio Frequency (RF) equipment to process andvalidatereceipt of product for inventory accuracy.
• Familiar and able to conduct cycle counts, physicalinventoryand receiving inspection
• Follows Company safety and department policies and procedures.
• Maintains neat and clean work environment following 5Smethodology
• Makes recommendations to continually improve processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Primary Qualifications:

• High School diploma / GED preferred.
• Twomonthsjob related experiencerequired, including operating Material Handling equipment.
• Warehouse management systems experience preferred withabilityto perform RF functions.
• Forklift operation certificationrequired. Must beacquiredon the job within90 days
• Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures.
• Crane experience helpful but notrequired
• Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to read andcomprehendbasic English and perform basic math functions.
• Ability to be self-motivated.

Workplace Experience:

• Previousmanufacturing experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
• Ability to use Power Tools safely
