Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a warehouse associate to move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment using a forklift and other handling tools. You will perform general warehouse tasks and support operations under supervision, addressing moderately complex issues as they arise.

Shift is Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:30pm, with responsibilities including order picking, packing, cycle counts, and safety compliance. Pre-employment drug testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years warehousing experience preferred.
• Must have forklift certification.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately move and stock product according to inventory plan.
• Select product to fulfill customer orders and package properly.
• Load and unload trucks and verify correct items.

Job Description

Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
• Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
• Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw
• Cycle Counts
• Identify, hold and segregate defective material
• Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
• Perform general clean up
• Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
• Train others when required
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED
• 2 to 4 years of warehousing experience - especially in Metals industry
• History of consistent dependable attendance
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills
• Previous forklift certification
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
• Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements

• Use of handheld measuring tools preferred
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs preferred
• LEAN and/or Quality Control experience preferred
