JobSquad is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support our Jackson, MI operations. The role pays $18-20/hour, depending on experience, with second shift hours from 2:30pm to 12:30am (or 3:30pm-1:30am), Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include picking, sorting, palletizing, and stocking materials, conducting inventory counts, and assisting with shipments using a Hi-Lo and overhead cranes where needed. Candidates must pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with basic measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, scales).
• Proficiency with computers, inventory software, and data entry.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Understanding of BOMs and material flow; strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• 1-2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience using Hi-Lo and overhead cranes to move raw plate safely.
• Must complete all pre-employment screenings.

Responsabilidades

• Record inventory counts, document orders using scanners or software, and maintain accurate records of materials handled.
• Deliver materials to production lines and move finished goods to storage or shipping docks.
• Efficiently move, stock and organize materials in designated areas.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, check shipments for damage, and verify against, and sign for shipping documents.
• Perform quality control on items
• Support tasks such as loading trucks, preparing shipments, and operating a Hi-Lo when primary duties are complete.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient warehouse area, including sorting, staging and storing materials.
• Work overtime as needed based on workload demands, which may include weekdays, and weekends.
