Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Move materials, parts, and products throughout the factory using a forklift (HILO).
  • Remove and replace storage racks as needed to support production and warehouse operations.
  • Replenish materials in bins, racks, and designated storage locations.
  • Physically stack, organize, and consolidate materials to maximize storage efficiency.
  • Communicate with team leads and supervisors regarding material needs and storage locations.
  • Retrieve materials from the receiving dock and transport them to appropriate storage areas.
  • Coordinate with management to prioritize material routing and special placement requirements.
  • Assist with staging, organizing, and reconfiguring materials for production and warehouse needs.
  • Support other departments with material handling, staging, and facility organization projects as needed.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operating guidelines.
  • Complete company-provided HILO training and certification requirements before operating equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for moving, organizing, storing, and replenishing materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This position supports production operations by ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed. The Material Handler will work closely with team leads, supervisors, receiving personnel, and management to maintain efficient material flow throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and moving of materials.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment after successful completion of company training.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
