Job summary

Eissmann-Group-Automotive in Port Huron, MI is seeking a Material Handler for the Afternoon Shift (2P–10P). You will move materials from the warehouse to production lines, perform pre-shift inspections, and help maintain ISO/TS and safety standards.

Responsibilities include using SAP for FIFO material movement, operating forklifts, supporting cycle counts, loading and unloading freight, and ensuring on-time deliveries while upholding 2S1Y housekeeping.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Lift 40+ lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift inspection and complete safety checklist.
• Move material from warehouse to production lines via EPS system.
• Deliver materials to production lines on schedule; use SAP and FIFO methods.
• Operate forklift and tugger following safety guidelines.
• Pull and stage products for outgoing shipments.
• Load and unload freight carriers as required.
• Use scanners to store material and track inventory.
• Communicate with production to prevent material shortages.
• Maintain 2S1Y housekeeping standards.
• Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories.

We're GROWING! We have a new production line starting and looking for a Material Handler to join our 2nd shift operation (2P - 10P).

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform pre-shift inspection of motorized vehicle and complete checklist before operation.
• Movement of material from warehouse to production lines via EPS system.
• Deliver materials to production lines on time via established schedules and routes.
• Use scanner to move material in SAP to production lines. (FIFO)
• Use of motorized vehicles (forklift, tugger) following applicable safety guidelines.
• Pull and stage product for outgoing shipments. (Pick List)
• Load and unload freight carriers as required.
• Use scanner to put away material into warehouse.
• Mix adhesive and deliver to production lines.
• Communicate with production lines to ensure no material shortages.
• Ensure housekeeping/2S1Y standards are maintained.
• Actively participate in cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Manually lift and move materials (40+ lbs) when needed, throughout the shift.
• Comply with all ISO/TS/IATF, ISMS/27001 requirements. (Work Instructions)
• Participate in continuous improvements and safety initiatives.
• Any other duties assigned by Supervision and/or Management.

Professional Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License
• 3-5 years previous Material Handling experience in manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work overtime when needed
