Job summary

DPR Construction in Durham, NC seeks a Material Handler to support the efficient movement and storage of materials, ensuring accuracy and safety across locations. You will receive, inspect, and record materials, transport them to storage or production areas, and stage items for shipment, while maintaining orderly, hazard-free workspaces.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years in material handling; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations.
• Valid forklift operator certification.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects, and accurately records incoming materials in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
• Transports materials to designated storage or production areas using approved equipment, following all safety and operational guidelines.
• Picks, packs, and stages materials for shipment or internal use, ensuring order accuracy and timely processing.
• Conducts routine inventory counts and reconciles discrepancies, reporting issues to leadership for resolution.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas, promptly addressing spills or obstructions to ensure a safe environment.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment as authorized and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Identifies and escalates equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or process inefficiencies to leadership for timely resolution.

Job Summary

Education Qualifications

Work Experience

Certifications And Licenses

Valid forklift operator certification required.
