Job summary

Arhaus Upholstery in Conover, NC is seeking a Fabric and Leather Material Handler to store fabrics and leathers properly and ensure materials are ready in cutting areas. The role supports cutting operations and requires attention to organization and timeliness.

The position is non-exempt, full-time, with hours Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–3:30 PM and overtime as needed. Candidates must lift up to 100 lbs, obtain forklift certification, and communicate effectively in English.

• Must work safely at a fast pace and have good math skills.
• Must be a team player and reliable.
• Must have own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime.

POSITION DETAILS

• Keep fabric and leather storage area neat and organized.
• Maintain correct fabric and leather at the machines and cutting tables per the schedule.
• Works closely with receiving and manufacturing.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1+ years’ experience in receiving.

Preferred Experience Requirements

Experience in furniture manufacturing preferred.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to obtain Forklift/Platform/Order Picker certification.
• Must be able to work at heights of up to 35ft.
• Must be able to walk/stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to work in normal conditions of a furniture manufacturing plant which is heated and cooled.
• Must have good vision.
• Must be able to wear required PPE of Safety Glasses and close-toe/close-heal shoes when required.
• Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
