Job Title: Material Handler at NTN Bearing Corporation

Location: Columbus, Indiana, USA

Job Description

The Material Handler operates electric powered tuggers/forklifts to load and unload components, transport them to assembly lines, or store them in racks. Responsibilities include moving components safely, managing returnable totes, and ensuring stock levels are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain 5S standards (Sort, Shine, Set in Order, Standardize, and Sustain)
2. Manage KANBAN cards and monitor their locations
3. Report missing KANBAN cards to Supervisor or Team Lead daily
4. Verify part numbers and quantities against JDE labels
5. Ensure component cages and racks are controlled areas
6. Assist with tote breakdowns, skids, and baskets
7. Communicate with rack & cage personnel for parts needed
8. Maintain correct stock levels on assembly lines
9. Participate in shift change communications
10. Perform any other duties assigned by team leaders or supervisors

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience with tugger/forklift operation preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
