This position is responsible for providing clerical assistance and communicating with the appropriate party for receiving, preparing, and shipping parts and documentation. Additionally, this role provides general administrative support to Supervisors and performs other duties as assigned by Management.

Essential Job Functions

Primary Job Functions (Weight: 70%)

  1. Keeps Detailed Log - Completes documentation, records received and shipped parts, verifies orders, maintains inventory, utilizes computers for documentation and information access, generates reports on common issues, and submits reports to Supervisors or Management.
  2. Provides Effective Customer Service - Exchanges information professionally via telephone, fax, and email; follows up to resolve issues or claims.
  3. Performs Other General Handling Tasks - Distributes parts to departments, ships parts to customers, schedules pickups, and maintains a clean and organized work area.

Secondary Job Functions (Weight: 20%)

  1. Keeps Management Informed - Reports problems immediately to management.
  2. Manages Time and Resources - Uses company resources efficiently to maximize productivity.
  3. Complies with Established Procedures - Follows all departmental policies and procedures.

Non-Essential Functions

Demonstrates commitment to safety, participates in safety programs, and complies with environmental, health, and safety policies.

Essential Job Requirements

Physical Requirements & Working Environment

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; occasionally stand, walk, handle objects, reach.
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and focus adjustment.
  • Work environment can be noisy due to machinery.
  • May be required to work beyond normal hours.
Experience/Minimum Qualifications

Language Skills

Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, percentages.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions, solve problems involving concrete variables.

Other Skills

Must be tactful, mature, flexible, able to handle work pressures, proficient with computers, MS Office, and report design.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D., or 1-3 months related experience, or equivalent education and experience. Experience with heavy machinery (crane, forklift) is preferred. ISO and SAP experience is a plus.
