The Material Handler 1 is responsible for moving products using a forklift/pallet jack within the warehouse. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
  • Move products and/or pallets from one location to another using a forklift or pallet jack.
  • Maintain the trash dock, clean and sanitize the compactor and surrounding dock area, and empty trash compactors when full.
  • Monitor trash dumpsters to ensure proper disposal of items/products. Bail plastic and cardboard materials for loading onto trailers.
  • Monitor inventory of iGPS and wooden pallets and report to the Warehouse Coordinator/Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean working environment across warehouse areas, coolers, docks, and trailers.
  • Ensure all areas are cleaned and tools are returned to their rightful locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Relevant years of experience in a similar role

Physical Work Environment:

This role involves using ladders and catwalks to access production equipment, working near moving mechanical parts, and exposure to cold environments. The work may include high, precarious places, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and electrical hazards. Noise levels are typically loud.
