Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Material Flow Process Engineer in Chillicothe, OH to drive lean improvements across receiving, warehousing, and production support. You will lead kaizen events, apply 5S and standard work, and partner with shop floor teams to optimize material flow and delivery reliability.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, strong communication, problem solving, and data-driven mindset. You will analyze processes, implement warehouse and sequencing improvements, and contribute to SQCDME

  • Demonstrated use of Lean tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Through the use of lean concepts (5S, standard work, visual management, etc.), identify and execute material flow process improvement projects.
  • Represent Materials on plant kaizen events and support initiatives to improve part presentation to Production through kitting, sequencing, and small part tugger delivery.
  • Lead projects to improve material warehousing efficiencies that enable more reliable and repeatable material delivery processes.
  • Improve material unloading efficiencies and dock door utilization through the creation of scheduled receiving window times and other process improvements.
  • Reduce material shortages by supporting inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding/experience working with warehouse management systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requisition Summary

The Material Flow Process Engineer provides process improvement support to Material Handling, Receiving, and 3rd party sequencing partners to meet material flow improvement targets as well as plant SQCDME (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment) objectives.
