Job summary

PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi seeks a Manufacturing/Materials Engineer to develop and maintain material flow strategies, PFEP, and support design and testing activities in a heavy‑duty engine environment. This role emphasizes Just‑In‑Time integration and Six‑Sigma driven continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive performance improvements, and manage department budgeting using MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience in materials analytics or logistics manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of Just In Time and Just In Sequence inventory practices.
• Strong knowledge of Six-Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement concepts.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Six-Sigma Training Certification preferred.
• Advanced Degree preferred.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Superior analytical andproblem solvingskills.
