Job summary

PACCAR, a global leader in commercial vehicles, seeks a Material Flow Process Engineer to optimize material handling, receiving and sequencing for Kenworth divisions. The role emphasizes lean practices, part presentation, and warehouse efficiency to support SQCDME objectives.

  • Lead projects to improve material warehousing efficiencies and reliable delivery.
  • Improve material unloading efficiencies and dock door utilization through scheduled windows.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives to reduce shortages.

Requisition Summary

The Material Flow Process Engineer provides process improvement support to Material Handling, Receiving, and 3rd party sequencing partners to meet material flow improvement targets as well as plant SQCDME (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment) objectives.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Through the use of lean concepts (5S, standard work, visual management, etc.), identify and execute material flow process improvement projects.
  • Represent Materials on plant kaizen events and support initiatives to improve part presentation to Production through kitting, sequencing, and small part tugger delivery.
  • Lead projects to improve material warehousing efficiencies that enable more reliable and repeatable material delivery processes.
  • Improve material unloading efficiencies and dock door utilization through the creation of scheduled receiving window times and other process improvements.
  • Reduce material shortages by supporting inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding/experience working with warehouse management systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
