Job summary

PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi is seeking a Logistics Engineer (SG 24) to design and optimize material flow for our MX engine platforms. You will develop and implement PFEP, coordinate packaging activities, and support system design and testing.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and experience in materials analytics or logistics manufacturing engineering, with Six-Sigma and Kaizen expertise, plus strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience in materials analytics or logistics manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of Set-Up and Management of Just In-Time and Just In-Sequence Inventory Practices.
• Strong Six-Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develops overall material handling strategies and flow.
• Develops and maintains PFEP for parts.
• Coordinates outsourced packaging engineering activities.
• Supports system design and testing.
• Provides support to materials high performance teams.
• Manages the integration of new engine platform material flow into running business operations.
• Manages Department Capital Budget.
