Job summary

Nissan USA in Canton, MS is seeking an Integrated Material Flow Intern for a 12-week program. You will support design and implementation of continuous improvements to material flow, gain manufacturing exposure, and work on efficiency projects within the facility.

Responsibilities include maintaining part-tracking spreadsheets, refining AutoCAD layouts, analyzing processes, and collaborating with project leaders and analysts on improvement initiatives. Onsite work in Canton, MS is required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• GPA 3.0 or above; transcripts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain part location tracking spreadsheets using Excel.
• Assist with developing and updating AutoCAD layouts to support material flow initiatives.
• Analyze current material flow processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of strategies to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with project leaders and analysts on continuous improvement projects across the facility.
