Nissan’s Decherd, TN site is seeking a Raw Materials Engineering Intern for a 12-week, full-time program. The role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing and engineering practices, working with cross-functional teams on material utilization, process improvements, and robotics integration.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Mechanical/Mechatronics/MET fields, entering junior or senior year, with strong communication and analytical skills, and a GPA of 3.0+.

Formación

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, MET, or a related field.
• Students entering their Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn, grow, and challenge yourself to develop new skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with programming, automation, or data analysis tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• GPA of 3.0 or above (official transcript may be required).
• Ability to perform work onsite at Decherd, TN.

Responsabilidades

• Identify opportunities to improve material utilization and support efficiency and sustainability.
• Troubleshoot material-related production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Participate in projects focused on cycle-time reduction, automated inspection processes, and robotics integration for part transfer.
• Conduct testing on raw materials and analyze results to ensure quality and performance standards are achieved.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve manufacturing processes, quality, and operational performance.
