Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a seasoned Material Flow Engineer to own end-to-end material flow and equipment lifecycle, from concept to commissioning. You will design automated handling systems (AGVs, AMRs, conveyors) and develop system architectures, throughput models, and PFEP strategies to support scalable manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, automation, material handling, or logistics engineering environments.
• Proven experience designing material flow systems including AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, robotics, VRCs, ASRS.
• Strong end-to-end warehouse design and factory logistics optimization expertise.
• Hands-on PFEP strategy development and management.
• Proficiency with CAD/simulation tools and related automation equipment procurement.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of material flow and equipment from concept through commissioning and handoff.
• Design and implement automated material handling systems (AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, robotics).
• Develop architectures, throughput models, capacity analyses, and business cases for growth.
• Optimize warehouse layouts, storage, buffers, and material flow paths.
• Lead PFEP strategies and coordinate with procurement for equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Controls, MES/WMS).
