Yochana IT Solutions Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Material Flow Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of warehouse operations in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
You will drive end-to-end warehouse layout design, material flow, automation systems, and supply chain integration with MES/WMS and PLCs. Strong hands-on automation experience with AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, ASRS, and robotics is essential.
We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Material Flow Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of warehouse operations, material flow systems, and automation solutions within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for end-to-end warehouse and material flow engineering, including warehouse layout design, buffer planning, automated material handling systems, equipment procurement, simulation modeling, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong warehouse engineering expertise with hands-on experience in automation technologies such as AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, robotics, and ASRS systems.
Lead end-to-end warehouse and material flow design from concept development through implementation and operational handover.
Design and optimize warehouse layouts, material replenishment strategies, lineside delivery systems, and finished goods storage areas.
Perform buffer analysis, inventory flow planning, and aisle sizing to support efficient manufacturing operations.
Evaluate, specify, and implement automated and semi-automated material handling systems, including:
Develop capacity models, throughput analyses, and warehouse optimization studies.
Create and execute Discrete Event Simulation (DES) models using FlexSim or equivalent tools.
Define fleet management, traffic flow, and path optimization strategies for AGV/AMR deployments.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Controls Engineering, and Facilities teams to integrate material flow solutions with MES, WMS, and PLC systems.
Manage vendor selection, RFQ development, procurement activities, FAT/SAT testing, equipment commissioning, and startup support.
Analyze KPIs including OEE, throughput, utilization, and downtime to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
Support Lean Manufacturing, PFEP (Plan For Every Part), and Just-in-Time (JIT) initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for warehouse automation and material handling projects.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in warehouse engineering, material flow engineering, warehouse automation, or manufacturing engineering.
Strong experience in automotive manufacturing, warehouse operations, or high-volume production environments.
Hands-on experience with:
Proven expertise in AGV, AMR, conveyor systems, robotics, ASRS, and warehouse automation technologies.
Experience leading equipment procurement, vendor management, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Experience with simulation software such as FlexSim or equivalent.
Strong understanding of MES, WMS, PLC integration, and industrial automation systems.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
