TechDoQuest is seeking a senior Industrial/Mechanical Engineering professional to own end-to-end material flow design and automated systems within a high-volume setting in the United States. You will architect, specify, and deploy AGV/AMR/VRC-based solutions, integrating with MES, WMS, and PLC controls to drive efficiency and scalability.

You will lead cross-functional teams through concept, design, installation, and production readiness, leveraging DES modeling to justify CAPEX/OPEX decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, automation, or material handling.
• Expertise in AGV, AMR, AGC, VRC, conveyors, robotics, and ASRS.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, FlexSim.
• Knowledge of simulation and digital twin tools.
• Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end.
• Strong program management and vendor coordination.
• Understanding of controls integration and safety standards.
• Lean manufacturing and JIT knowledge.
• KPIs interpretation and improvement.
• Excellent communication and leadership.

Responsabilités

• Own the full lifecycle of material flow and process equipment from concept to handover.
• Design and deploy automated material flow systems (AGV, AMR, AGC, VRC, conveyors, robotics).
• Specify mechanical, electrical, and control system requirements.
• Develop system architecture and models to validate feasibility and balance OPEX/CAPEX.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Controls, Facilities, Process, and Industrial Engineering teams to integrate automation with MES, WMS, and PLC-based control systems.
• Lead end-to-end program management including scope, vendor selection, RFQ, procurement, FAT/SAT, schedule tracking, budget oversight, and milestones.
• Build and execute DES models using FlexSim to evaluate capacity and throughput.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to align modeling and planning.
• Deliver data-driven insights and simulation-based recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Define fleet management, path optimization, and traffic control strategies for AGV/AMR systems.
• Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor SME and advise on automation strategy.
