Job summary

Benetech, Inc. is seeking an Estimating Engineer to predict costs for projects and products, prepare detailed proposals, and assess design, fabrication, and installation costs.

The role includes evaluating materials, labor, equipment, and scope to ensure profitability and adherence to budgets. Responsibilities include developing customer-specific proposals, delivering timely budgetary and firm proposals, and collaborating with sales to understand application requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Prior estimating experience in an engineering or construction environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, JDE, or SAP is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Customer-focused with effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer problems or project requirements; review technical specifications and define budget constraints.
• Develop customer-specific proposals, including technical descriptions, pricing, preliminary designs, and drawings.
• Deliver budgetary and firm proposals within defined timelines.
• Analyze and compile data on all cost factors, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Conduct cost and variance analyses to support estimates and change orders.
• Support project scoping and transition activities, from order award through customer acceptance.
