Job summary

AREA TEMPS, INC. seeks a Material Coordinator to manage inventory transactions and material handling. Hours are Mon–Fri, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with flexibility as needed.

Responsibilities include confirming quantities, coordinating flow of materials, cycle counts, and safeguarding inventory. Proficiency with ERP systems and forklift operation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management and physical counts.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks/forklifts safely.
• Knowledge of cycle counting processes and MRO handling.

Responsibilities

• Confirm quantities by counting items and updating on-hand records.
• Coordinate material flow between work cells and departments per schedules.
• Process scrap reporting and assist cycle count to maintain accuracy.
• Receive finished goods and place in proper locations with correct tags.
• Rotate inventory and maintain material lot control.
• Maintain MRO items and initiate replenishment signals.
• Perform cycle counts to verify storage accuracy.
• Safeguard materials during transport and storage; keep area safe and clean.
• Operate pallet jack or forklift to move parcels.

Job description

We are seeking a Material Coordinator to effectively process accurate and timely inventory transactions and perform material handling duties. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; however, you must be flexible if needed.

Responsibilities

• Confirm recorded quantities by physically counting items and closing production work orders to update on‑hand inventory in Business Systems Process Inventory Transfers as items are accepted/rejected and moved to and from various departments to maintain accurate and timely inventory location records.
• Coordinate the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between work cells and departments according to replenishment signals, production and shipping schedules, or department priorities.
• Process scrap reporting transactions and assist in the Cycle Count process to maintain inventory accuracy and control.
• Receive finished goods inventory from Final Inspection and ensure materials are placed in their proper locations with proper identification / WIP tags.
• Rotate inventory, magnets, and bins as required while maintaining material lot control.
• Maintain required MRO items and shipping supplies for the assigned work area, initiating re‑order signals for replenishment.
• Perform cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy as the material is stored in bins.
• Safeguard material during transportation and storage, ensuring it is clean and free of damage.
• Operate pallet jack and/or forklift to unload, transport and load parcels.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and observe all safety rules and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
