Job summary

Worley is seeking a Material Controller II to ensure timely and accurate availability of materials for construction, installation, and engineering activities at the USA-LA site. You will manage material control systems, coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires a university degree in supply chain or engineering and proven material control experience within energy or resources sectors.

Qualifications

• University degree in supply chain, engineering, or related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Proven experience in material control, supply chain, or logistics within energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation and specifications.
• Proficiency in material control systems, processes, and related tools.
• Ability to plan and execute complex material control tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and product specifications to determine material requirements for construction and installation activities.
• Manage and maintain material control systems to ensure accurate tracking, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to align material availability with project schedules and sustainability objectives.
• Validate inventory levels and adjust material quantities to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
• Document material requirements comprehensively for procurement and order processing.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials in correct quantities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Identify issues related to material control and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure all material control activities comply with Worley’s safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
