Job summary

AAR Corp. is seeking a Material Control Clerk to manage the flow of materials in a busy warehouse environment in Wellington, Kansas. You will maintain inventory records, support production with timely material delivery, and ensure accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in warehouse/ inventory roles, experience with SAP/Oracle/NetSuite, and strong math and communication skills. Training and compliance are emphasized.

• Technical Skills: Inventory management software and basic MS Office.

Description

The Material Control Clerk plays a vital role in managing the flow of materials within our facility. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, tracking, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished goods. The ideal candidate will maintain meticulous inventory records, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure that production teams have the necessary supplies to operate efficiently without delays.

Qualifications

What you will be responsible for

• Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate electronic inventory records using our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Material Distribution: Kitting, staging, and delivering materials directly to the production floor or specific departments based on daily manufacturing schedules.
• Data Entry & Documentation: Document all material movements, issue inventory parts, and generate shipping/receiving reports accurately.
• Cycle Counting: Perform regularly scheduled physical inventory cycle counts and audit bin locations to investigate and resolve quantity variances.
• Storage Optimization: Organize and log stock locations to ensure optimal space utilization and quick retrieval of items.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, keep work areas clean and orderly, and operate machinery (like forklifts or pallet jacks) safely.

What you will need to be successful in this role

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or inventory control environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Outlook).
• Attention to Detail: Strong math skills for counting inventory and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with purchasing, production, and shipping teams.
