Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced CNC Setup & Operator Machinist with multi-axis turning expertise to join a precision manufacturing team in Morgan Hill, CA. The role focuses on high-complexity medical device components under ISO 9001 controls, with strong emphasis on tight tolerances, offline programming, and continuous process improvements.

Requirements include 3+ years setting up and operating multi-axis lathes, Mastercam programming, and experience reading GD&T drawings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating Multi-Axis CNC Turning Lathe machines (Required).
• CAM programming using Mastercam (Required); ESPRIT experience is a plus.
• 3+ years of full machine setup, tooling selection, and troubleshooting experience (Preferred).
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings/GD&T and hold tight tolerances on medical/ISO 9001 components.

Responsibilities

• Program multi-axis turning lathes using Mastercam (or ESPRIT), and perform complete, independent setups on multi-axis turning lathes for optimal cycle times and maximum machine utilization.
• Fabricate complex components from customer drawings, CAD models and blueprints using advanced multi-axis lathe operations.
• Calibrate equipment, maintain tight tolerances, and document inspections to medical-grade/ISO 9001 standards.
• Create detailed tool sheets and programs for new and revised jobs, continuously refining machining processes.
• Maintain work center through preventive/predictive maintenance routines.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders on cycle times, programming updates, and daily shift logs.
