Job summary

Carli Suspension, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team. The role involves setting up jobs, selecting torch tips, and welding components to precise specifications on jigs and fixtures.

You will inspect bead quality, perform preheats, and clean finished parts, with an emphasis on safety and adherence to welding procedures. High school diploma or GED and basic math are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.
• Selects torch, torch tip and flux according to welding chart specifications.
• Connects regulator valves and hoses to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders, and welding torch.
• Lights torch and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
• Welds along weld joint and applies filler rod to form weld.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from workpiece.
