Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Texas seeks a Training and Development Specialist IV to lead complex training design and delivery at the state hospital in Rusk. You will coordinate curriculum, ensure alignment with TC policies, and maintain readiness of training spaces and materials.

You will guide staff through FCTD requirements, collaborate with leadership, and maintain hands-on certification needs while supporting disaster response readiness and COOP initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in social work, education, or related field preferred.
• Experience in designing and delivering training and curriculum development.
• Ability to manage training inventories and ensure regulatory compliance (FCTD, CMS, TJC).

Responsibilities

• Design and update training rosters in PeopleSoft. Track and document training compliance.
• Teach and facilitate CTD courses and workshops; maintain classroom readiness and materials.
• Serve as FCTD curriculum coordinator and SME for policy changes and standards updates.
• Develop and deliver training reports and analytics for regulatory audits.
• Participate in COOP and disaster response planning as required.
