Morrie’s Brooklyn Park Subaru in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking a skilled automotive technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical and related systems. This full-time position offers base pay with commission, opportunities for advancement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand tools to assess and repair vehicles.
• Comfort with following checklists and ensuring critical parts are inspected.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and related systems.
• Test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Test drive vehicles or use diagnostic equipment to verify repairs.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Follow checklists to inspect critical parts of the vehicle.
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other components for issues.
• Utilize power tools and machine tools to repair and rebuild parts including brakes.
• Use common hand tools to service vehicle components.
• Prepare and write vehicle repair estimates.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems with the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems.-
• Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and are working properly.
• Driving the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment, including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.
• Maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
• Following a checklist in ensuring that, they examine each critical part of the vehicle.
• Watching or inspecting closely parts like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other possible troublesome items.
• Using power tools like pneumatic wrenches in order to remove bolts easily and quickly.
• Using machine tools, such as grinding machines and lathes to rebuild brakes.
• Using common hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers, to work on small-scale parts.
• Writing vehicle damage repair estimates
